Panel is placed in the track.  The track can be self-supported or attached to the ceiling. Since the weight of the wall is on the floor instead of hanging from the ceiling, above ceiling supports are not needed saving much time and money.

Here are install pictures of our second type of floor supported track wall...  even the rail is Self-Supporting !

This set of pictures show a floor supported track wall that is not attached to the ceiling, floor, or walls.  With the 11/2" wide end supports, the entire track wall can be moved within the room dividing a 40' room into into two-20' rooms in the morning and then it simply glides into place to divide the 40' room into a 30' and 10' room in afternoon.  Versatility, sound proofing, beauty...  JML Movable Wall Systems. 

This track wall has one panel that has our Dry Erase-Plus product and another panel has a picture window. To demonstrate that it can be placed anywhere, this 12' wide wall was erected outside!

Attach a 11/2" wide stabilizer leg to the rail (the silver bar is the rail, the top of the stabilizer is exposed with a white fluted trim piece attached).

Set nuts on each side of the rail to center the rail and attach a nut on the end.

The wheels can be adjusted to be higher or lower to facilitate easy movement. The weight of the panels is to rest on the floor.

Insert each panel's wheels inside the track.

Install all of the panels. For ease of installation, turn each panel until assembly is completed.

Attach other stabilizer.

If your floor is uneven, simply adjust the base feet.

Moving up the rail lock at the end of a panel keeps that panel from turning.

Rail lock raises into place. Lock end panels into place first. Unlocked middle panels turn.

Crown molding completes the top (conceals the rail). This sample wall is erected outside, totally self-standing.  JML track walls stand on its own up to 20' feet. Our walls can be erected almost anywhere!

For units with self-supporting end stabilizers (chair rail height and only 1?" from the wall), stabilizers can be painted or a cover (as show) can be used.
